WEIGHT LOSS CAMP THAT FEELS LIKE A VACATION

Achieve your weight loss goals & make memories

WEIGHT LOSS, WELLNESS, AND MOUNTAIN MAGIC

If you want to lose weight, it’s tempting to sign up for a boot camp, weight loss camp, or some other place that will force you into strict diets and all-day workouts. You might lose weight while you’re there, but after you leave, you’re on your own again. Our evidence-based weight loss philosophy teaches you how to lose weight, keep it off, and enjoy yourself in the process. In this way, the Skyterra experience is more than a weight loss camp or a quick-fix vacation – it’s a long-term investment in yourself

Remember when camp meant adventure, fresh air, and feeling good? At Skyterra Wellness Retreat, we’ve reimagined that experience for adults. Whether you want to lose weight, get more fit, or just feel like yourself again, our retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina is your year-round home away from home. We have the open, casual environment you remember and the expert health guidance you need.

A Wonderful Experience!

I just finished a week at Skyterra, and what a wonderful week it was!

The staff were top-notch -- they were warm and welcoming, experts in their fields, and provided the right mix of group vs. 1-on-1 instruction -- very hands-on with a personal touch, which made me feel that I was important.

The program was diverse, covering physical fitness, nutrition, mental well-being and health. There were many classes each day -- both active (I was doing something) and instructive (I was learning something). There was no push to "do it all," but rather to participate in the classes that made sense for me, and at my pace. And when I didn't want to do something? I could chill out in a number of places, including by the lake and/or waterfall on the property (both shorter hikes).

The meals were great, with 3 chefs on staff. All meals were made with fresh ingredients that provided the right balance of nutrients, and portioned to meet my needs based on my level of physical activity and metabolism.

The accommodations were great -- I stayed in a lodge with 3 bedrooms for 3 guests. Each guestroom was private, with its own full bathroom. I found the bed very comfortable. The shared space included a great room, dining room, kitchen and laundry.

I learned a lot about each aspect of wellness, and discovered that I have room to improve in all areas -- physical fitness, mental well-being, and nutrition, and that by doing so, I can improve the quality of my life. Now, I am working on incorporating what I learned in my day-to-day life.

I also learned the importance of stepping outside my comfort zone and being open to new experiences -- I was carried to places I never thought I'd venture!
