3 Great Fitness Apps Keep It Fun

Need motivation? Feeling bored with your daily routines? You might want to try some of the fun, free apps available to help you on your wellness journey. The apps provide tracking opportunities and great workouts. These are a few of our favorites!

  1. The Seven Minute Workout is a great, challenging workout that is perfect for the person who feels they just do not have time to workout. Twelve different exercises are displayed for 30 seconds with a 10 second rest interval. The intention of the workout is that you have an intense, interval training workout in just seven minutes! Perfect for beginners and also for the busy, fit person! This is a great way to start out your day.
  2. A Tabata Workout is a very versatile. A Tabata workout consists of 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest for four minutes. You may use this app with any workout—high intensity, strength training, core workouts, the sky is the limit! The primary focus in Tabata workouts is for 20 seconds of very high intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds rest.
  3. Tabata Stretch You may also use the Tabata app for an end-of-the-day stretch. Using a yoga band, put the band around your foot and start your Tabata. Hold the stretch straight up, to the right, and to the left for 20 second intervals. This is a nice way to end your day.
  4. My Fitness Pal is a supportive app to help you track calories as you lose weight. The home page of the app says it all: Lose weight the healthy way! We believe — and medical studies prove — that the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to simply keep track of the foods you eat. Gimmicky machines and fad diets don’t work, so we designed a free website and mobile apps that make calorie counting and food tracking easy.”
