The staff at Skyterra Wellness has developed a program especially for you. Our goal is to help you feel better and gain real-life tools for coping with stress and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. All while having a great time! We will begin 28-day sessions each Sunday starting May 7th through July 2nd.
Our Young Adult Life Prep includes all the benefits of our signature program combined with specialized classes and activities designed just for you.
Our program is centered around your personal journey to sustainable well-being, and no two journeys are alike. The way we get you on your path involves a return to the essential: finding inspiration in nature, looking within oneself, focusing on real, whole foods, and discovering joy through achievable fitness. First, we help you find what triggers stress for you. Then, we give you all the support you need to get back to what is instinctively correct for you. The result is a profound transformation that makes the process of achieving weight loss, fitness, and wellness intuitive.
We know college can be stressful, we’ve all been there. At Skyterra Wellness, our Director of Integrated Wellbeing, Kate Hannon will offer you tools and tactics to help you regain control of your sleep cycle. Too much screen time? Our Unplug Program will teach you alternatives to decompress from college life without just binge-watching Netflix. Learn how to reclaim your weekend, so you wake up Monday morning feeling ready to tackle another week.
You’re going to love our Nutrition and Cooking program. Not only will you get to enjoy our amazing farm-to-table locally sourced meals, but you’ll learn how to make these incredible dishes yourself. And cooking the meals is only the beginning. Our culinary team and dietitian will teach you how to shop on a budget at local farmers markets, choose wisely in the grocery aisle, and how to successfully prepare a week's worth of meals on Sunday evening. Our Meal Creation component will leave you feeling prepared and confident in whatever is next on your menu.
At Skyterra Wellness, our fitness classes are programmed specifically for you. Don’t have a lot of time? Our Lean Class will be perfect for a quick 15 minutes before you head back to class. Want something fun to do with some friends? Our Train Strong Partner classes are easy to do with your friends, regardless of skill level. Try Elevate if you want to increase your heart rate in a time crunch for maximum benefit. The best thing about our classes is that you can do them back at school. You don’t need a gym membership or a lot of expensive equipment, just some floor space, and a killer playlist.
Community is one of the most important pillars of our program. Whether you come by yourself and make new friends or come with a group of your closest girlfriends, our beautiful mountain lodges are the perfect escape in a serene mountain setting. By living in our mountain lodge, with other women your age, you’ll have the opportunity to practice what you learn at Skyterra and in turn create a community that’s more sustainable and lasting for when you return to college next semester.
Our activity packages all build upon and enhance each component of our Young Adult Life Prep Program
Mountain Biking, Rafting or Rock Climbing followed by a meal in Brevard at Jordan Street Cafe, Square Root, or Jaimie’s. Our Adventure package also includes team building exercises, and a formal pre-brief and debrief with our Director of Recreation, Ellwood Crowell.
A shopping trip to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Park. Get geared up for you next Adventure at REI, see a movie, and finish with an amazing meal at 131 Main.
Our signature Meal Creation class followed by trips to Whole Foods and local farmer’s markets. Learn what’s in season, when, and how to buy all the right foods when making your weekly grocery trip.
Concerts at the Orange Peel, Grey Eagle, and the Mothlight. Contra Dancing at Warren Wilson College. Night hikes and star-gazing classes in Nantahala National Forest followed up with evening around the bonfires.
Manicures, Pedicures, Massages, Facials, Reflexology, and More! Finish up with an amazing night of Tapas at Curate or Zambra in Downtown Asheville.
