Throughout the United States, Asheville is known for its eclectic community and culture. The LEAF festival takes place at Lake Eden, just outside of Asheville and is held from May 7-10. Celebrating Global Gratitude is this year’s 40th Festival theme with over 30 countries from around the world represented. Through the events of the festival, guests may feast upon the sites and sounds of a Global Community.
With the LEAF festival occurring twice a year, SkyTerra guests have the opportunity to explore a magical world where the best music, art, and culture join together to create a unique experience with memories that will last a lifetime. The location, the old Historic Black Mountain College, provides a stunning mix of rolling hills, lakes, streams, and mountain beauty.
LEAF scours the globe for artists, musicians, performers, entertainers, presenters, and teachers that not only are great in their craft, but who also care deeply for education through arts. Many of our musicians and artists not only offer multiple shows at our festival, but remain within our community for up to a week before the event to teach in school residencies, perform in local showcases, and share their gifts with children of all ages to help engender a culture of service through the arts.
LEAF Community Arts is a non-profit organization in which all donations and festival profit promotes music and arts education, both globally and locally. As the SkyTerra philosophy promotes the healing and joy found in the arts, we believe that this festival creates a rejuvenating opportunity for our guests.
